Speedo meter

I have a 80 automatic
My speedo meter reads only 85 . So I'm wondering if there a speedo meter that reads higher, I got alot of pedal left after the needle stops, I would like to put ther one in tha reads 140 ,would it fit

you will have 2 issues. the 140 mph speedos are deeper. the newer ones are shallower than the older ones. this means you need clamps to match the speedo. the old one have a threaded retainer for the cable rather than the clip style of the 80. will need to jury rig something here or get the old style cable.

I switched my entire panel to 70s gages. I was able to jury rig the clip to work. dont know how long it will last. the hard issue was the tach with associated lights. The big issue is the deep gages eliminate a lot of working room. Now, of course, you will have one unmatched gage. Easy solution is to memorize your tach and what speeds it turns in 5th gear.
