sun visors

Post by Baz »

My sun visors tent to fall when driving rather than stay up...now I can think of a few ways to fix this, but like the old clutch pedal spring with the coins trick, I will bet there is a clever fix out there. What say you blokes ???

Mine did the same thing and I tightened the screw closest to the outside of the car. Of course, that seems to be a weak spot in the design and I think it might create more stress on that spot.

I just took mine off. Didn't really understand what sun visors did on a convertible. Haven't missed them.

taking them off actually improved my line of sight, especially at intersections 8)

If you must keep them then try velcro or shrink wrap on the inserts

I took an old, flat or common screwdriver and filed a notch in the center with a flat needle file. This allows it to straddle the pin in the center of the screws on the sun visors. Tighten these screws very slowly until the visors stay where you want them.
