media blasting

Post by juvius »

I have been in a lot of pain lately so I haven't been able to do anything to my spider. I asked my son if he'd blast some of the parts that i have been wanting to clean. He didn't want to, but now that he did, he loves doing it. The crazy kid says it's relaxing. Anyway, he said to ask you guy if you wanted him to clean any parts off for you. He said just pay shipping and he'll do it for donations.

Here's a pic of what he did for me (i only asked him to do two parts and he started doing every piece he could find):

The parts look great. Blasting is kinda fun actually. Have him polish the valve covers to a mirror finish, I bet he'd enjoy that too and then I will send mine for sure!

I should. I have the compound and grinder attachments for polishing. So what keeps it clean once it's polished? do you coat it with clear coat? i don't see myself getting under the hood to keep it looking good very often..

Looks great! What media are you using? Also what's your setup?
