Floor padding recommendations

I'm at the point where I'm going to pad under the carpet. Any recommendations on what product to use? I basically want to reduce road noise, reduce heat and provide a nice underpad for the carpet. And of course not absorb any moisture. This is a daily driver so I don't need something top end.

Some of the reading here recommends EZCool - http://www.ezcool.ca/. On this site there is also Dynamat and Heatshield which look like similar products. Or is there any products that will work just as well from Home Depot/Lowes?

Picked up the EZCool at the border. Man that stuff is easy to install with a little 3M adhesive spray.

Now I just have to remember where the carpet goes! :)

I have some EZCool left over. Did anyone use the stuff on the doors? Thought it might help reduce road noise. Or does it matter because the top is always down anyways?

The floor carpets had snaps to keep it in place. The floor part of the snap is long since gone. Anyone know where I can get new snaps? I guess a fastener place would be best.

Try Newark Auto Products http://www.newark-auto.com/. They had the button head I needed for the base snap that was mounted in the floor.

Amazingly enough Home Depot had the snaps that screw into the floor to hold the carpet in place.

Had enough EZ Cool floor mat left to use on the doors. Should I just cut the mat to fit the entire door, cut hole for the handle and 3M stick the mats to the door? Then I'll screw the door card over the EZ Cool surface. Not sure it will do much but might make the doors look a lot cleaner. :D

Tried the EZ Cool under the door cards. Looked clean but unfortunately made the window crank and door handle too tight. So removed the EZ Cool and reinstalled the door cards without.
