Hello guys.
I am deeply in 124 Spider restoration project, at the moment. In the begining of my workshop activity, I demonted original VIN plate of my 1971. BS (not BS1). It is in very bad condition, btw. So I wanted to remake it, but the problem is that I cant se the thing on original one, and I did not find any BS VIN plate for sale anywhere.
Once again I need visual (or any other kind of) information for BS VIN plate, not BS1. Ill be gratefull to any one who could help me for this one, please.
Thanks in advance.

Re: BS VIN plate?
This is what I have on my 1970.
Cant make out what is suppose to go in the upper portion after the DMG, but the vin # goes between the stars, and the paint code goes under the thick black line next to the body color carrozzeria, mines 208, Positano Yellow. Not sure what the # 1812053 is for? If you need to see mine in a larger formate you can visit my Photobuck page. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o60 ... 2a0fcc.jpg
This one from Mr. Fiat, and they can not get one for the BS.

It is the 'spares number'. This is what you would give to the dealer to ID what parts fit your car.
I have no idea why they did not use the VIN.

The engine number is the '124AC040' - it's stamped next to 'Motore/Engine'
The spares number is stamped next to 'N' per ricambi/N' for spares'
