When I got my 69 spider I had a vitaloni side mirror mounted on the door but in some pictures I seen it is mounted on the front quarter panel . I am thinking it might have been like that in Italy if anyone has one that was correctly mounted like that I would like to have the correct measurement so I can move mine .

I've never seen an early spider with that mirror that wasnt mounted on the door. I thought the door position was excellent as it gave you a great range of view and with a quick lean forward, you could see your blind spot. These are physically small mirrors and the farther away they are,the less you can see. I had an MG with fender mounted mirrors about the same size and they were useless.

Going for original look I think I saw a original ad with a orange one with the mirror on the quarter
