Applying POR-15 in colder temps

I'm now ready to apply a coat of POR-15 to my cleaned/prep&ready floor. My thought is to POR-15 before welding everywhere except where I'm going to have a welding joint. That way any covered up metal with have 2 coats of POR-15.

Right now in Ottawa it's about 3 degrees C (35 -> 40 degrees F). POR-15 mentioned that it should be applied in warmer temps. Anyone had luck applying it in colder temps? I was considering putting a space heater in the car for a few hours before, letting the temp get up to about 15 degrees C (60 degrees F) and then applying.

When i did mine I was anxious as well. When I bought mine, the retailer did inform me to wait until it is at least 10*C otherwise it will be all for nothing. The colder temps also delay the drying times see my post on POR-15

do not let it go below 50F/10C drying .. 4-5 hours at 10C it says ..

the warmer and more humid the faster the drying time

be careful with the space heater and fumes....

For sure have to watch the fumes. Probably heat up the car (I have an oil based electric space heater), open the windows and top, apply POR-15 and then put space heater back with windows mostly up. I should really wait until the weather warms up but want to get the interior done before spring and then focus on mechanical.

barely going above 1*C in the next 2 weeks I would wait. Took a look at my photo and the application of the POR-15 date is 31March12

Sadly no I did have the complete car undercoated with KROWN. Fiona looked a lot better underneath than I had anticipated I will probably get under her in the spring

Waiting. I'm on vacation until March 26th (where the temperature is 30 degrees C and it wouldn't be a problem applying POR-15! But I won't be thinking about that) so by then things should be warmer here... I hope!
