Bumpers
I really love the early chrome spider bumpers. What gets me is the newer spiders with no bumpers. It just dosent look right. Especially the azzurra on this website. Please put some bumpers on these cars. Thanks for letting me vent.

Re: Bumpers
So you like the big twin tube bumpers on the later cars? I like the bumper less look myself but not good for fending off stray Dobermans. Im pretty sure the bumpers were afterthought in the design studio....

Re: Bumpers
the beauty about the pininfarina designed cars of this era is the bodies are complete art on their own with the bumpers added as design accents. Even the crash bumpers fit the style nicely understanding the limitations of the requirements. I personally like the early bumpers but find nothing artistically lacking with the other 2 looks.

Re: Bumpers
Car is still running around with the damaged fender. I cut one off the parts car but had since sold the car to a friend of mine. So far he didn't find someone to section in the new one for him. I may give it a shot if he lets me. I can atleast tack weld it then he can take it to a real welder

Re: Bumpers
Well at the risk of creating a big brouhaha, I will throw my 2 cents in. I really like the look of the old chrome wraparound bumpers, not really a fan of the new bumpers, but I really don't like the look of bumperless cars. Let the howling begin!

Re: Bumpers
Bumperette front end on a '78
IMHO better than the tube bumpers.
I would love to have an early car with the the chrome bumpers... some day I will along with this & a FI car all stock!(dreaming)

Re: Bumpers
Hey Jamie...nice to see you back. Anyway for a brief fix to hold the bumper-ettes in place I used a decent spring with a bit of cord for back-up.( Don't fall on the road...)
For permanent I welded a piece of tube onto the flat bar from the rubber, really had to nail the alignment with the holes on the frame bracket and drilled through everything . Somehow I made it work.
