over the last week or so, i have replaced the gas tank and associated hoses, installed Mark's dizzyless ignition, changed oil, filter, plugs. went to crank the motor and no fuel pump sound. checked electical and it was getting 12v. replaced the pump and turned her over. got it to sputter. played with the timing and finally got it to start on 3 cylinders. let it run this way until i noticed a loose radiator hose. fixed that and started her up again. this time kicked it up to 2500 rpms and let it run a while. oil pressure was spot on, thermostadt opened and closed on schedule, fan started on schedule. after a couple of cycles, the 4th cylinder popped to life and ran pretty smooth. will take some run time to get all the cobwebs out.

the latest update. the cold start injector was not working, thus the slow starting. I replace the lead wire and the thermo-time switch. this did not solve the issue which turned out to be low volts. I cleaned the red wire terminals in the ignition switch pigtail and that was enough to get the injector to open. now it starts quickly and is running better and better as the injectors get more clean fuel run thru them. Current project is building a 4 relay plug-in to relay everything going thru the ignition switch.

Nice job on all the electrical work. I don't look forward to the electrical stuff so much personally... That's partly why I went with the carb model though. Have you been driving it around much? or mostly still working on it?
