After market wheels

Post by 5pdrman »

There aren't many after market wheels that have the 4x98 lug pattern. Most seem to be 4x100. Any experience in wheel adapters? Adaptit USA http://adaptitusa.com/4x98 to 4x100wheeladapter.aspx has a nice piece that is an inch thick at its minimum. I want to use a wheel that has a +40 offset and this will help. Need some advice.

Lots of people run adapters with no problems. If you can get the hub centric style it would be best. I know this post is a little old so did you get anything yet?

with the introduction of the new 500, there are now over 50 wheels on the market with 4x98 patterns. The offset isn't ideal for the Spider, but it would only require spacers rather than adapters

Mark - Has anyone put the new 500 wheels on a Spider yet? Would love to see some pics if they have, I just thought the offset would be way too big to adapt but i've been wrong before.

depending on the wheel, a 10mm 15mm or 20mm spacer is needed. I put some of the 17s I have on a Spider with a 10mm spacer and they worked well. It's definitely a more modern look and not for everyone
