Any problems removing/reinstalling luggage rack?

I want to work on the paint finish under my luggage rack, and I was wondering, before attacking, are there any issues to be mindful of, tips, etc, that would be helpful to know before starting? For example, are there usually issues with any rubber or plastic bits where the chrome rack sits against the trunk, or with the mounting hardware?

Other than don't loose them, nothing difficult in removing. The chrome bits you'll notice are shaped to fit the curve of the trunk. If the rubber washers are pooched, I used some garden hose washers to replace.(trimmed)
