shock absorbers

I am looking for shock absorbers to replace the ones I removed from my restoration project (1969 850 Special). I am looking for ideas on the best absorbers out there. I was hoping to go with OEM but I've read that upgrading the shock absorbers is better. Your ideas, thoughts, 2 cents are appreciated.

I think it all depends on what you will be doing with the car along with what your expectations. I went with the daily driver approach.

I will be using my fiat for limited days/weekend use and try to keep it as original as possible.
