Anyone in or near the Costa Mesa area?

I'm still trying to track down my green 1977 Spider. The VIN ends in 0123483. It was last smog tested in Costa Mesa on 11/19/2011.

The license plate number is 1PYJ681 and the car is dark GREEN. Thanks!

I believe there is a green 77-78 spider at a Fiat shop in Costa Mesa fitting your description. The shop owner told me the car wouldn't pass smog and I believe the owner may have abandoned it to the shop a while back. This was about a year ago or so. I know it's a needle in a haystack but it's the only other green spider i've seen in the area. Heres his info: Reliable Motors -2085 Placentia Avenue Costa Mesa, CA 92627

I doubt it's really a Fiat shop if they can't get it past a smog check.

Talked to Cornell, turns out he put a lien on the car as the car owner basically abandoned it at the shop. The car was then donated to a charity and according to Cornell, cars that cannot pass smog are shipped to out of state charities??? I figured it was gone, but I received an "anonymous" email saying that my old Fiat is alive and well in Stockton, Ca. and that this informant is going to confirm the car is mine and possibly get photo proof of it.

Anyway, that's the story so far...

The "anonymous lead" in Stockton was a dud. Just wanted to get my hopes up I guess---

"I can't tell you how I know, but your car wasn't junked nor sent to another state. It's well and fine and being driving right here in Nor-Cal (Stockton) as far as I can tell. This is confidential."

"If the plate you gave is correct, the car is registered and legal, smogged, etc. I have no way to get a photo of it, unfortunately."
