This past Monday we finally got our 72 together and on the road! It drives great. I got worried when about 3 miles down the road on the first day, traveling about 45mph, there was a rattle for 5 seconds, followed by a small clank, followed by looking in the rear view mirror and seeing something bouncing off to the side of the road. I was bummed! I pulled over and ran back, where I saw a metal strap. I stared at it for about 10 seconds, and then I realized what it was and laughed. I had never taken the retaining strap off of the flexible drive shaft joint that I had replaced. I guess those things are self removing! The good news is that nothing else has fallen off in the 4 days we have been driving it.

These forums have been fantastic -- over the past 11 months I found existing answers to almost all of my questions. Thanks everyone! Now I need to work on getting the parts car out of the garage ...
