Re: New to Restoration
When I got my car two years ago I had to figure out what to tackle first. The folks on this forum were VERY helpful. Their advice was to start with the safety issues first (ie brakes, lighting) and then progress to mechanical issues (replacing timing belt, tensioner) and then on to the "fun" stuff such as upgrading the alternator, ignition system, etc. Along the way I learned a whole lot (still learning) and .... (ahem) .... spent a lot of money.
Good luck and Happy wrenching.

Oooh, an early model! The best of both worlds, classic Fiat, simpler times. You'll learn a lot and you'll find out there is really nothing you can't do on one of these. From the pics it looks to be in reasonable shape, but we all know there are surprises lurking at every turn. Two things....
1. How about a few pics of the whole car?
2. Does it run? That really, to me, determines where to start renovating.
This will be fun to watch while doing my '69.

It runs but needs a battery, tires and licensed, sounds great too.

Remember to resize your pics to no more than 750 pixels wide so they don't get truncated. Great looking cah!

Re: New to Restoration
Started the restoration this week. I am doing a very limited restoration at present. Got radiator hoses, changed the oil and rebuilt the brakes this week. Did a little rust repair also. Took the car out today for a quick spin to get gas and give my son a ride. I will post pictures of what I did soon.
