Body Shop in Toronto or GTA

Hey guys,

anyone know of a good body shop that can do good work on a '76? Almost a full resto on the body. Lots of rust, but no rot.

Thankfully, it runs, but that's about it. I don't own it yet, but the deal comes down to the body work/paint.

Have a great day,
CCucchi

And I know of Andy's, but from reputation, the work is good, but the cost is sky-high.

I have a '78 (original owner) that needs work, had a long chat with Andy over the phone, he gave me a good half hour of his time, was very forthcoming, but I stopped him when he reached $20K! His words: "I'd rather lose you as a customer now than lose you as a customer in court." He is a specialist and as a specialist he has access to just about anything you might need and you know that he knows the car inside and out. But that comes at a price, as it should, IMHO. But as I've been told time and again in my search for a body person (tho' I've yet to encounter a woman doing this!), you don't need a specialist. You just need someone who knows what they're doing. If I wanted a concourse car (and had the money!), I'd certainly consider going to Andy, no question. I'm looking in the Cobourg/Port Hope area and think I may have found someone, still have a little research to do. Apart from that, I can't suggest anyone in T.O. Just wanted to share my thoughts regarding Andy.

I'm in the Ferrari club, and a lot of the guys go to Jim Nelson at Fix Auto, Hwy 48 and Ravenshoe, just north of Markham. They swear by him, and he doesn't charge Ferrari prices. My '77 Spider is going there either this winter or next.
