I installed these springs about four months ago and could not be happier.

right on. How much do those springs lower the car and what kind of shocks are you using?

Keep in mind that these springs will lower a later car and raise an earlier car.

I have a question about that actually. I have a set of springs from a '69 that I was going to put on my '78, but opted not to because they look to be exactly the same length. Are they? Is it a difference in stiffness?

Nope, I just took the calipers out and checked them now. They are virtually identical.

13 mm in the front and about 12 in the back.

So why is it that (supposedly) I can put these springs from a '69 on my car and it will make it lower?

What is the difference between these springs?

('69 on left)
id like to add to this, because i had sold a set of springs to some one from my 69/ and just before that i was getting my 80 suspension redone, and i measured the springs on my 80, i really can't recall what they where but the front ones on my 80 was different in the front and back, for height,. i measured the 69 springs just after i took them off and sent them, and if i recall there where so close in height, i just cant recall what the numbers where. don't know how that would lower anythi g but as some one said possible tired spring? i dunno

on your spring photo. it looks like the left ( 69 u said ) is shorter then the black one.FROM the photo
