there should be a flat spot somewhere along the base on the side
it will be stamped as to what carb you have
i just bought a 32/36 dfev last springit costed me $200--0n left
i removed the 32/32 adfa,a new one is like $500--in the middle
also i have a 28/32 off a 79/80,no idea how much one of these costs--on the right

It is most likely a 28/36 DHSA2 or 3. The is right on the edge of the baseplate and normally covered in gunk. Same carb on the 1608 it is has not been changed already. Does it have a vacuum secondary unit....big valve looking thing with hoses coming out connected to the larger bore linkage? If you need parts I have a spare one of those....
