We need a tip topic.
Here is the first tip. I have found that using wing nuts instead of regular nuts for application such as holding on the taillights boxes to the car or holding down the air cleaner. There app is almost unlimited and it saves so much time having to wrench those little 6mm nuts etc etc. WING NUTS ......WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?

I'll bite.

Tip #2: Take as many pictures as you can. Being able to look at pictures later and see how things go back together can be priceless. Also, you'll never know what useful image you might unintentionally capture.

Clean and grease all your ground connections with dielectric grease, including fuses.

How about; when applying a rubber or vinyl protectant such as 303, put a mens dress sock over your right hand (preferably made of nylon so it is less absorbant), and then spray the palm of your hand....and wipe. It is much easier, better coverage and less waste.

disconect battery when working around the starter/electrical.

Take rings/bling off when wrenching or use gloves

Rub cold cream on your hands before wrenching (dirt comes off easier)

use jack stands or good cribbing to support car, never rely on jack alone.

Instalation fluid,if required or used, should be cold

Any question you don't know the answer to is a good question.

Good tips Nar.

I recently did the hand cream thing and it worked great.

But maybe your first tip should include "or any electrical work".

What is the installation fluid used for again?

When using a wrench on a nut where the wrench can fall into a tough to retrieve place, tie a string to it. This worked great on on the second small wrench I used to remove the nuts in the trunk that hold the chrome roof hooks on.

If you do happen to drop a nut, wrench, or socket, put a strong magnet on the end of a thin steel rod. I can't tell you how many times I've used that contraption to get into hard-to-reach places. Helps to have a small, strong magnet, though.
