Hi All,
Not sure were i should post this....
I have a Performance Fiat Brake Kit on my Spider and am happy with it other than I am struggling to bleed the system correctly.
My next thought is get some speed bleeders which got me to thinking I don't know anything about the calipers to order parts. I am hoping to get in touch with Val, who designed the kit, and ask for a part number or original application so that I can order pads and parts in the future.
Anyone have an email for Val?
Cheers,
Jordan

Jordan,
Val sold the business about 18 months after starting Performancefiat. The new owners renamed it Classicricambi, but still offered the same big brake kit.
The kit uses calipers and rotors from a Fiat Uno Turbo. Unfortunatly these cars were never imported to the states, so finding the calipers and rotors is difficult without paying a hefty sum to get the parts from Europe.
I have the same kit, and did not have problems bleeding the calipes. I can't recall at the moment, but the bleed screws may be the same as the standard 124 calipers. I know the piston diameter and caliper rebuild kits are the same as the standard 124 calipers.
The pads are the same as those fitted to the 1985.5 spiders. Most of the typical Fiat vendors stock them, but I've also seen some on ebay.
About 2 months ago Classicricambi went out of business and sold of their inventory, I managed to get a spare set of rotors before the demise. If you need spare rotors, calipers, or pads I would contact Csaba or Ramzi of Autoricambi.com, they have the connections in Europe to source those parts.

Matt,
Thank you!
I wondered if it was the Uno caliper. Very good information on the pads and rebuild kits etc.
My feeling is that the bleeding issues is the standard bleeding issues others have noted not related to the kit.
What is your impression of the kit? How has it changed the handling of your car?
I am very eager to get on the road and try them out.
Kind regards,
Jordan
