If you ever travel to Door County, WI you got to check out this stretch of State Highway 42.

The road zigzags for a mile or so leading into Northport, WI.

When I googled Door County, WI I was pleasantly surprised. It looks like a great place for a vacation. When Ron and I get old and grey (shouldn't be long now), we're hoping to tour the US and this looks like a great candidate for a visit. There are so many cool places here in our own country!

We almost did that trip 2 years ago, but stayed in MI and stayed close to lake Michigan. Lake Superior is also worth seein, and the upper pennsula of MI is also too cool. ( John R lives there) Ultimatly a tour around lake Superior is my goal.

Lake Superior Circle Tour

Dave,

You up for July 2009?
That's when Sharron and I plan to do the Lake Superior Circle Tour.
We'd do it next year (2008) but don't want to miss FFO 25th anniversary.

Maybe we could get a bunch of Fiats on the circle tour.

Dave,

You ever had a UP pasty?

The best ones to be had are at Randall's Bakery in Wakefield, MI.

We would also want to head up in the Keewenaw Peninsula and cruise Brockway Mountain Drive.

looking at this photo i can see a straight line if the road would of been laid
down that way but something tells me these guys planning this section
were sports car nuts and wanted a fun section of road to play on !

I wouldn't mind taking the Spider on that road a few times !!!

It is definitely a fun drive and as you can see... you can tell that there is no on coming traffic to contend with.
