I'm not sure where to place this post, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experiences heat coming from under the stick shift. It gets pretty hot at the base - from under the shifter boot and I'm not sure if it's normal.
If not, any suggestions?

There should be a rubber boot in there that seals the heat out. It might be missing or falling apart.
