Tie Rod Puller

Can anyone recommend a tie rod puller? I rented one from autozone, and it was too big. It had too much space between the ends of the puller body. I ended up making it work, but it was not ideal.

I have not found one that works well. I either use a pickle fork, or just hammer the end of the arm where the tierod goes through. The shock deforms the hole and the tierod-end falls out. Sometimes I have to hammer the heck out of it, tho.

I just did mine. I used this:

tie-rod attached to the steering arm.
Unfortunately, the tie rod would not detach from the idler arm, but I was able to remove the center link from the idler arm using a pickle fork. After I got the idler box out with the tie rod attached, I used the biggest puller I could get on the thing. Created quite a bank when it finally released.
