Today, I had the honor of assisting with the homecoming of 103 military members who have been deployed around the world in support of our various military commitments. I am amazed at the courage and patriotism of these individuals who serve in our military and fight so that we and others around the world can have freedom from tyrants such as Sadam, the Taliban, Al Quida, Hitler, Stalin, Amin, etc.

Never underestimate the contribution our military plays in spreading the good word of democracy and freedom. Our military are heros...not the terrorists that some in the media would have you think. If only these people understood that their freedom of speech only exists due to the sacrifices of those brave individuals who risked their lives for what we all know is right.

Next time you meet a veteran, say thanks to them whether that veteran is young or old. We would not be where we are today without their brave service.

To any of you in the Armed Forces, and to all of you have served in the past, I say "From the bottom of my heart, thank you for my freedom!" Your honor and service to our country is greatly appreciated. You are a hero to me and the majority of people in our country. Stand proud, stand strong and God bless you all.
