door sill assembly

Post by spider2081 »

I am assembling my car after it was painted. The burlap type strip that separated the stainless steel sill dress piece from the body was missing on one side and not any good on the other. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to install??
I was thinking of a piece of roofing ice dam.

Thanks

I used tool chest drawer liner rubber mat. I bought it at Home Depot or Harbor Freight (don't remember).

yes that should work
i used stainless steel screws

ok at first i didnt after it was painted
then years later i had rust
rust that started with the screws
so last year i bought SS screws
and fixed the rust

now when i hear about sill work i tell all i can
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)
