My Son is trying to be one of the youngest helicopter pilots

Post by markpink »

Sorry about this being not fiat.

My son who helps me keep my Fiat on the road. And who has attended New England Fiat Events and The FFO in Valley Forge is trying to become one of the youngest ever helicopter pilots at 15 years old. Family gave him the initial funds to fly his first 10 hours of instruction. He needs 10 more to fully solo fly on his own. He is trying to do that on his 16th Birthday on July 2.2012.
You can follow and help support him at http://www.copterboy.com

He and I will be the the FFO in August in Virginia this year. I think we will take the Fiat, not the helicopter.

thanks

Cool.
I have a bit of time behind the stick when we ferried helicopters around BC while logging. Loved it and if I could do a few things over again...
Haven't any time in the "cab-over-chainsaw" though. Very popular helicopter for training.
Good luck

He has about 50 hours of experience driving my BMW. He's going to go for his car license the same week he goes for the Solo copter flight.

He can drive the BMW but not my good car (my spider)!

Well. He raised $3500 on one of these crowd funding sites and he is going to fly his first solo flight on Monday when he turns 16. And he is now getting national media attention.

He is going to fly a helicopter by himself before he drives by himself.

thanks to the member of the forum at gave him some support.
