Finally, we had a break in the rain and it was warm enough to resume the bodywork on the 80 Spider. I was doing the final sanding and found three flaws in the bodywork that I missed. I got two fixed, but number three is pain to get it true. I was admiring how close I am to painting the car and decided to remove the plastic clips for the hood ornament since I hadn't done so. I took them out and decided to sand the indentation only to find it had 10 layers of paint and primer gunking up the indentation. So, I sanded it all off and re-primed everything. Now I have to wet sand some more to get it paint ready.
It was a GREAT day working on the car!

You can drive yourself nuts doing "just one more" thing to do before painting. Get it done and enjoy the car!
