BOOT COVER COLOR

Does anyone know if the Boot Cover should be Dark Red if the interior is Dark Red or if it should be Black (the color of the top). I have never seen a dark red one. The Boot that came with my silver 1981 Spider actually was tan and someone changed it to black (obviously not the original boot cover).

Dark red with dark red interior was stock in 1979.
