I just got this car and am looking forward to tinkering with it.

I had a couple of questions, and more to follow, not sure if this is the correct section...

Is there any tools or specific piece of equipment that anyone would suggest is invaluable/ a must purchase?

Also, is there any "moded" or after market oil pan kits that are not so low slung? I read that they were low, but WOW. I want to paint a bullseye on mine just to make it complete.

I am totally new to this, so looking forward to help, suggestions, and general knowledge.

Many thanks,

d

The specific tools depend on how much you will be doing yourself. For example, there is a specific valve adjustment tool that makes the job easy. Most items can be fixed with basic tools and some enginuity. As for the oil pan. Most install a steel pan guard.

If your oilpan is still undented, consider yourself lucky and your car rare!
