So,
After pricing VAT cleaning, I have decided its better to buy a soda blaster. Also, I will use it next year to strip the paint off my car and save some $$ before painting.
Anyone have any tips on machinery, technique etc etc. i am just beginning research, so keep it simple
Initially going to start with engine block, head and small parts.

Re: Soda blaster
Level of abrasion will depend on the media you use. Check out the info here: http://www.eastwood.com/soda-blasting.html
as a starting point.
You can also have some fun with a DIY setup and a bag of blasting media from Eastwood or other, using some clear tubing and your air compressor to create a Venturi effect. see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJszQUH-JTQ.
The eastwood media contain more abrasive content for a more aggressive strip job.
Whatever you end up with, please share your thoughts and results!
