!984 Fiat pininfarina 124 spider

I need an education as I am a novice when it comes to this car. Just bought the subject car and there doesn't seem to be very many out there.
Are all the names interchangeable, can the car be a spider but not a pininfarina and what does the 124 signify. Mine is a two seater convertible.
Where can i get a back seat box cover,you know the plastic box with a carpet cover........
My intention is to get it bfixed up for summer, not a complete restoration though. It runs good but needs somne work cosmetically.

Larry, the 83-85 cars were sold under the Pininfarina dealer network as detailed in this thread.

Basically they are all Fiat Spiders, except for a few minor changes. The plastic shelf that replaced the rear seat in the Pininfarina is probably going to be hard to find, but you could easily whip up a replacement with a little ingenuity, a sheet of MDF, and a jigsaw.

ok the early ones changed a bit from small motors to bigger ones
the mid years got better,then smog control came around
when pinn had it fianl runs they had great little cars
and the 85.5 year ones are loaded
