Tis the season

Post by grittracing »

I know most of us help out where and when we can. but I thought I would just send out a reminder. we all have Nice cars (hobby cars) meaning we have more than a lot of people.and we need to give back to those who can not get for themself. for the last few years I have donated clothes to the local shelter of to purple heart.

this year giving hit a little closer to home. A guy I went to school with was found living in a make shift shelter he had made. here is a link to the story

Anarchy paint ball team ( http://anarchymi.webs.com/ ) had a food drive going on when I brought up the idea of combining it along with the clothing drive. about 3 weeks after both was started, I had heard about James' story and gave the mens clothing to his family to give to him. more clothes to a local charity " Cots " and more to the Puple heart. the food went to a few food charities.

I say all of this not to get your praise. but just to remind you to give where you can this season. these are hard times. we have alot ! even if it is just clothes on our backs and a warm meal.

Please give where and when you can.

Isn't it ironic; I clicked on the video for the story of a homeless man who has nothing and I was forced to watch a commercial about chevrolet trucks before I could see the story. I wonder if chevrolet are forwarding any of the profits they make off this story to the homeless.
