No longer a sad day :)

Post by MrWampus »

A few weeks ago I wrote about my exhaust pipe breaking just in front of the rear muffler and how great the car sounded and how sad it was when I had the pipe rewelded. On Thanksgiving day (oddly ironic) I discovered that the weld did not hold and the lovely sound had returned. So, I removed the muffler entirely, bought some pipe to extend about 24 inches and added a chrome twin tip. The sound is even better and is not at all obnoxious. I guess The Mistress is no lady after all. She did not want to wear the sensible undergarments, she wanted to go au naturale. So be it.

I'll make a recording of the sound from behind the wheel and post it later.

I thought I was happy with the oem exhaust till it broke off. VAROOOM! The wife liked it so much we installed a 2.25 exhaust with a high flow cat and a dual canister Megan Racing muffler. WHEW! Now a bit too loud so a bottle resonator is on order. Her car now sets car alarms off at the mall!
A good sounding exhaust really changes the attitude of your car.
