Forged Pistons

Post by So Cal Mark »

We're building a couple of 1608s for customers, and due to the lack of availability of pistons, we had custom forged pistons made. Since we now have a mold, it's very easy to change dimensions and create the same piston for other size motors. So, we're now having 2.0 pistons made with the small dome for a nice compression boost without having to work around the 8mm dome monstrosities that some vendors are selling. And, they're forged rather than cast

Mark,
What compression height will these 2.0 pistons have? The cast pistons all seem to have too large a squish gap without decking the block. Any idea on price?
