so decided to go to a car show today since I didnt want to risk doing any of the FLU chapter drives going on today due to the trans issues. The car show was put on by the Detroit Roman Chariots charity car show. my class was all cars 1980-1989. there was mustangs, t-bird a couple hondas and a toyota, and the 2nd place winner was a very very clean 1984 firebird

WOW! I sure had a flashback! That picture with the red 63 Ford Galaxy and the 39 Ford Coupe - my dad had a red 63 Ford Galaxy 2 door and a black 39 Ford Deluxe coupe. Never expected to see that!

I'd love to see pictures of your Spider too. It must be awesome!!! Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. for those of you who Havent seen my 1980 spider 2000 FI. it features a full 1968 interior including the vintage wood stearing wheel, Abarth decals and a stripe to give it a race look. also no front or rear bunpers. and the bumper holes have been filled with blannks, the brake vent holes have been filled with turn signal pockets and turn signals and the front spoiler with fog lights. all designed by me and I have others like it for sale. also Rota wheels 15 x 7 for sale from Mark allison. also a kilt was used for the trun mat. some of these pictures was before I was on the road but you can get the look I was going for.

here is my spider the 1st picture is it with its 1st place award for spiders 1979 - 1981 From this years Freakout

Your car is beautiful, must have cost a fortune to get it that good.

Would you mind if I made a suggestion? (Brit manners coming out here). The last pic. I have a problem with the exhaust pipe and box - it looks like a cheap afterthought. Is it possible to customise a pipe to run out through the right hand "bumper hole" and a dummy pipe through the other? 8) 8) What do you think? I'm not trying to be critical, the car is fantastic.

Tony, nice! Now lets talk about that rear end. Dude, you need to replace that sad looking exhaust and stick something in those bumper holes. How about this?

no i like to hear all feed back. But honestly i have not decided what to do with the rear. Thinking on making a custom full side to side bumper or putting the rear bumpers on that i have that are like the front. Still thinking. As for the exhaust it is stock that came with the car when new. Now 30 years old. It is on this winters list along with the bumper issue and front upper and lower ball joints, tie rods. Springs.shocks. I wanted to drive my car this sumer. So i left a few things that was bad till this winter. Along with starting my new fiat project. A 1964 fiat ghia 1500 gt only 849 where built. In the world. It is suppose to be here sat. Cant wait to dig in.as far as the abarth style bumpers brady as some nice ones he plans on selling in the future
