arabella's 1st game

Post by grittracing »

Honestly I am not much of a TV sports fan,(rather be in the garage) I do love to go see them in person, but really do not have the money to by tickets. but as part of a earlier aggrement with my wife ( a huge sports fan ! bigger than alot of guys !) I would buy her tickets to a game if see would stop nagging me about car events I attend (like FFO) so back in the spring I bought her 2 sets of game tickets 1 set she took her sister who always takes her on her season passes. and the second set we both went.

Pulled out of the drive way about 12p.m. (1st pitch 1:05) traffic really bad down town so decided to take a different route. taking me under cobo hall in a tunel. mmmmmmmmmm loved that Arabella sounded like a formula 1 car for a min.

although the Detroit Tigers lost to Texas Ranger 5-2 it was a great day. it started off very over cast even looked like rain. by the time we took our 20 min drive down town the sky was blue and there was a slight breaze . it was 79 degrees out. great day for a game.

I bought the tickets off evil bay. bought them for ticket face value about $50 for the set. we were seated 8 rows from the grass. little behind 3 base. great seats. but I looked around while I was there and really didnt see any bad seats. except the nose bleed. now this was my first game in the new stadium "comerica park" build a few years ago. and my 1st game in about 15yrs

(note: I kept my end, of the bargin. said something today about a car show in the morning. and well lets just say, my efforts where in vane !)
