Interesting Ebay Auction

Post by sptcoupe »

Nothing really exceptional about this car or the Ebay auction, except that it appears a new FIAT dealer is offering it for sale. Wonder how they got it? A trade-in? Does this mean dealers will be taking them as trade-ins? If so, wonder what that does to the value of our older FIATS?

Sure, they'll take anything that they think they can make a buck on.

I can't imagine how badly a dealer would take advantage of someone trading in a 30yr old car

I guess that is one thing I am wondering about. If the older cars begin to show up on new car dealer lots, and people begin buying them at over-market prices, then that could establish a new market prices higher than current prices for these cars. At a minimum, it will increase exposure of older cars and maybe create some interest in them? Just wondering.
