I just took a look at a 1981 2000 and while it was painted a shade of blue that's proving difficult to describe (not dark, not pale, has a touch of green in it), I figured out that the original color is 678 or Grigio. As it turns out, the 678 is "Silver Poly," but I'm not even sure what that looks like. Is it really gray (which is what "grigio" means) or is it a lighter true silver color?
If anyone knows where I can see a picture of this color, let me know.
AND...
If you think the color choice is odd, wait til I tell you that it has an anniversary interior. Yep. Complete with brown trim on the steering wheel, visors and dash, stitched console and door panels, but no other insignia. I'll ask more about this on another board.
