Saw a new Fiat 500 Abarth today

Post by kmead »

This morning I was driving my unicorn (my Fiat 850 Sport Coupe) along Michigan M6 West and on to 196W towards Holland for the WMFLU garage day, when I see a new Fiat 500 coming up on my left. As it gets closer I note it looks a bit different from the other 500s I have seen and driven.

As they overtook me the two guys in it waved and tooted their horn as they came abreast me, paused and then zoomed away. I looked over to see the Abarth graphics in red down the side (it was a white car) and then as it passed the special rims and chromed dual exhausts poking through the rear valance with MI manufacturers plates.

Sounded great, looked great and went off down the road at a nice clip. I kept up with them for a mile or two (pushing close to my Coupe's redline to match their speed). A great looking car and something to look forward to since we chose not to get a PE.

Sorry no pics as my camera was behind me and couldn't reach it as I was careening down the highway (I tried...several times)

This may work out well. The Abarth may be available before a dealership gets around to opening.
There are supposed to be 5 dealers in the state eventually.
I can't really justify another vehicle, but if Denise can figure out how to get #7, well what the heck. :D

Don't worry, he is used to it by now. Fickle fickle fickle :D I think you have a year to break it to him. Besides your youngest will soon be driving and you want to put them into a nice safe newer car, the PE will be fine for her. You however need a little more go...

You may have a good argument there, Karl. I'll work on my presentation a little more before I spring it on him. 8)
