Re: What I did today
Nice work.
I'm sitting on the couch sore as could be. I cut twenty trees down, clean them up and did all the leaves on the one side of the yard. Not looking forward to Saturday though. I have to empty the trailer that holds all the debris.

Re: What I did today
I like him to much to give em that awful name. There are actually two in that enclosure. There is a tiny one else where too.
This is how small they were when Chris bought them for me a 5 weeks old.
This is the baby, still in the house.

Wow, they were small when you got them. How high does MG stand now?
How old are they now?

Re: What I did today
You guys are going to hate me
So what I did today - Went for a Supercar Drive Day 5.2km private loop road
Over the day I drove
A Lotus club racer
Evo 9 Rally Targa prep car
Aston Martin V8
Nissan GT R 35 twin turbo
Lamborghini Gallardo
Ferrari 430
Highlights
Managed to put the Ferrari sideways coming on to the straight, hence only reached a 160 before the braking point.
Managed to get the Lotus sideways in the first on the S's
Got the Lambo to 200 on the straight
Evo 9 with ceramic clutch has hard to drive off the line hill start
Other things
Aston sounded the best
Ferrari was great to drive
However biggest smile from from the Lambo drive
Property is called 'the farm'

Re: What I did today
OK, so I guess my day of finishing off a fence and taking a ferry to the mainland to visit my son, daughter in law and new grandson isn't quite as exciting as Adrian's day - but boy is my little guy a gem. He's only 7 weeks old and I think by the way he's smiling he has designs on Grandpa's Fiat.
Tomorrow should be fun - I'm picking up a mini Gator and trailer to help make the yard work a little less of a back breaking chore. This getting old thing isn't for sissies!!

Re: What I did today
Not at all! I've never driven a supercar, but the Lotus Exige was a blast! I had a great day, too. Went to the supermarket in my Spider, top down, getting/giving shaka, hat tip and wave to others. (The hat tip was to a redhead in a top-down red XJS)adrians wrote:You guys are going to hate me

Re: What I did today
I didn't work on my 124, but did attempt to install a gear reduction starter into my 850 which unfortunately didn't turn out so well (as in not finished) due to an error on the part of the maker of the starter.
I am working on a solution for myself and will post it up for those interested once its done.

Finally after three days, the yard work is done. I would have rather been there with you Adrians. Thanks for sharing!

Re: What I did today
I was replacing the springs, shocks and front wishbones in my Spider. Had the calipers overhauled while I was at it and fitted new rear discs, pads and handbrake cable. Sport springs and adjustable shock absorbers going in (I think the front shocks were original - they still have the Fiat part number on them).
Unfortunately hit a snag when the tie rod ends supplied by a US vendor (no names) were both handed the same way. Replacement (opposite hand) tie rod end now en route to Australia but won't make it in time for my driver tuning day this Friday. Such is life - I'll have to drive my Coupe instead.

Re: What I did today
Spent almost the entire day finally getting the rear seat replacing, storage shelf done. Made the template, got it cut out, covered in carpet, speakers installed and installed in the car! Now just have to make the back panel and it's done (ran out of wood and didn't feel like running to Home Depot). Also finalized the new template for dashboard wood, version 3.0.
Also did the brakes on my mom's car (Happy Mother's Day Mom!).
A busy, but productive car day.
