I really HATE it when somebody sends you a PM regarding parts you've listed for sale, with a super-low-ball offer, and then follows-up with "This is what they usually sell for on Ebay", or "I see them all the time for this price".

This goes rigjht up there with the guys who pit "RARE" in big-bold letters of their ebay listings for cheap-knock-off door-panels for the Spider.

I mean, if the part I'm selling is that common on Ebay, for that price... then BUY IT ON EBAY!!!

Do they think we don't watch EBAY ourselves?

Dirty form of lieing, if you ask me.

Haha, I have been living your nightmare lately. After moving our business we have had some surplus equipment for sale, along with having Moto Guzzi up for grabs. Lots of calls and tire kickers. As for the lowballers with "ebay syndrome" I politely ask them if they found the same thing for 1/4 of what I am asking, why in the world didn't they buy it?

I'm guessing you have been getting lowballed on the carbs you had listed? It is a pain, but hang in there. Unless you'd be willing to take $250.......

It seems to be becoming more and more common. Last month I had a guy offer me $100 and a PS2 for my track-prepped 240sx

Needless to say I accepted one of the serious offers
