rack on - rack off

Took the plunge and I think I like the change. Took the luggage rack off and had the holes filled and painted.

Thanks for the complements, I really like the clean look now as well.
These are wheels made by Toora. I'm not sure if they are around any more though. They did balance out real well as well, only a couple of grams per wheel.

Every one of those pix is great - with or without the rack. I have too many other things to do to the car before I even think about the extra work involved in taking mine off. I like the practical side of keeping it, and I don't mind the looks.

Your car is beautiful, as is the scenery in the shots - I'll bet there are some great roads up in BC.

One beautiful thing about the Spider is that it can be many different cars according to one's desire.

I think your car is beautiful. There is a continuity about the various choices you have made. Non-bumpers with a rack seems a contradiction of purpose.

My goal for my `77 was rather different. Not a racy little back-road burner, but a two seat GT convertible. Thus the color (original) the bumpers, the rack, the wheels, all, again, have (to me) that oneness.




The main thing IMO is to have a vision for your car and work toward it with each choice you make.

Mine didn't come with a rack... but I have a 2500km drive planned in a few weeks, need more room... So, I bought some large suction mounted thingy's that'll hold my vintage suitcase strongly and with panache.

Now... just worried car will make the round trip!!!

Bruce's parts about 4-5 years ago. Tacked the flatbar in a tube and bolted right in.

what size are the wheels and tires?

15 inch wheels 205/50 toyo proxis

Well come on up the 19th to North Van Best of Italy and French car show. Several from the area should be there.
The paint now has numerous chips in it but still ok from 10 feet or so.
