How many miles on your Spider?

How many original miles do you have on your Spider? There are so many that claim under 100K - I'd love to know the average on the forum!

Me:

1979 - 40,000 - original miles
1980 - 82,000 or 182,000 - don't know for sure

About 120,000.

When I got the car in `88 it had about 65,000. Paid $3,300 for it then.

Put another $3000 into her last summer to refresh almost everything except the motor which was just tuned, had timing belt replaced and carb rebuilt.

Runs GREAT.

This week she gets a new gas tank and a new convertible top,

More fun for the money I never had.

94,000 original miles. 1979 spider. Not driving it for the last 15 years or so allows me to keep it under 100k. Hopefully it will see some road action soon.

87k on my 71 and 120k on my 72. 44k on my 86 X19 and 3k on my '12 500.

My '80 has 64,000 kms or about 40,000 miles. It's a "wet coast" car that has vary rarely been driven in the rain - which no doubt accounts for the low mileage.

Well, my speedo says 31,000. However it's a 1978 California car and most likely has 131,000. Possibly 231,000. The condition that I got it in was certainly used to the extreme. Took me 6 months just to get the body straight.

My 70 was a daily driver from when i bought it new til 93. compiled around 295k miles in that period. was not all original tho, as nearly everything in the car was upgraded, replaced, or rebuilt over the years.

Not sure what you mean by original mileage, but our '70 spider has 224,000 miles now. It had about 110K miles when we bought it in 1987. I've restored and / or rebuilt a lot of things on the car.

My 79 has at least 255000. The first year I had it, I had 40000 miles. So I rolled it back to 16000. And the speedometer cable was broken for 3 years when it was my daily driver. It's showing (2) 10000 right now.

Mine has 119,359.
50 of which are mine, 40 driving it home, 10 round trip to DMV.

That will change soon though, license will be back 100% by end of July, then lookout.

Coeur d'Alene is in the western foothills of the Rockies w/ tons of lakes nearby.
We are right on the edge of the National Forest w/ lots of mountain roads.

97,000 miles on my 78.

My 81 daily driver has 150,554, My son-in-laws daily driver a 1980 has 74,000 he has one he is working on that is an 82 with 114,000 and the 1980 I am working on for my wife has 53,622.
My grandsons 81LE has 34,114 on the odometer but I think it has been around once and is really 134,114. It is not quite road worthy but close.

My 1981 has 154,000 original and documented miles and the engine was only rebuilt once in 2008. So a rebuild is required every 28 years

Original mileage the car has been driven since built as opposed to how many miles are on the car since the last engine rebuild. Hope that helps anyone else wondering what I meant. I should have been more specific.
