door armrest chrome strips and ends question
door armrest chrome strips and ends question
I would like to replace the thin chrome strips inlaid in the armrests and the chrome end caps. Anyone know where I can get them? Or do you have to send them out to be re-done? Thanks !!!
Re: door armrest chrome strips and ends question
Ken,
I used 10mm chrome adhesive strip / chrome moulding trim that I bought from Ebay for approximately £8 / $10 for 5m.
I gently pushed it into the gap and eased it around the corners. The width and the adhesion should hold it in place ok and should work out cheaper.
I also used the remaining strip to edge the map pockets as they would originally have been on my 69'.

you can also clean up the end caps for about $1.00 go to a sing or baner store and ask for some mylar scrapes (its a decal) they use for chrome lettering
