Finally after a struggle I got the old emblems off! It revamped them up so they would show well on the car:) I was looking around and new one go for 25- 50 each, so decided what the heck! If they didn't turn out we'd just have to pitch in some money$$, but I think what I have done to them will do for the time being what are your opinions on it? Did anyone attempt this before?, I would love to see your results !
Thank you - Ally

Ally... way cool!! Not sure what you did? Did you remove the resin finish from inside the face or just buff the top layer?
I made my own from scratch. I have several molds that I can pressure cast blanks in almost any color. I wanted mine to be gunmetal to match my Rota wheels and also have the option for different inlay graphics. I cast a blank then sprayed the color I wanted. I then made up the graphic out of photo paper and sealed it. Cast in some more clear resin then added a little bling sparkle and stuck on the car. Have had many compliments especially at classic car events. I also made my own Pininfarina script badges that I decided to add under the F badge just to be different. Again just to be different I made the Spider badge for the front fender.

Wow Jim! Your look great, I especially love the script badges you made, they look very sharp on the white paint
My technique was to remove the badges from the car,and pry off the plastic inlay. The inlay had the f mold on the underside which was just painted blue along with the red cornet pieces and silver background...so I just flipped the plastic to it's painted side and scrubbed off all of what was left of the faded paint. I used steel wool and gasoline to get the paint off. Then came the fun part:) I just got my blue and red nail polish and repainted the f and triangles, then for the silver I wanted to add individuality, so I got the clear nail polish and applied it to the areas I wanted silver, I then applied silver glitter over it. I let all the paint dry, then popped the inlay back into the silver crown rectangle thing.

Jim, At risk of starting a run... Any chance of you making another set of the Spider castings? I LOVE them!
