Vicks Perf. Rotors and Ferodo Pads

Post by TVST*R »

Does anyone have actual experience with Vicks Perf. Rotors in
combination w/the Ferodo pads he sells?
http://www.vickauto.com/cgi-bin/store/05-3602.html

I am just about to pull the trigger and get 2 front Rotors/Pads.

Any insight would be appreciated...I read through most of the
"Brake" type posts and didn't see anything this specific.

Update:
I've had this set up since Jan. Still works great! Best stopping
power short of getting the WHOA! set up (which I might do also).
I have a bit of brake squeak at times, I guess due to pad wear. Nothing I can't
live with.

I'm running the Ferodo brake pads with stock rotors on my 71. They were awsome on the track with no brake fade at all, and I was HARD on them. I'll be testing my Whoa brakes on my 72 in a couple weeks during the Moonshine Rally. I know there's one mountain road where I witnessed brake fade with the stock setup so it should prove interesting.

If you are talking about the drilled rotors...

I run them on my X1/9 with the Ferodo pads and they work really well! My only problem is that I don't like the whirring noise when I apply the brakes. In the future, I will probably use solid (undrilled) rotors on my street cars.
