Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I would like to ditch the twin carbs for a single weber carby or something similar. At least a carby that will stay in tune. Can you help?

Re: carby conversion
there are man posts on here about that. doing a search will help. And there are also PLENTY of us who would be willing to trade our single-carb for your dual-carb setup. Some of us might even include some cash in te deal.
For instance, I have a 32/34 adfa that'd be a direct bolt-on for you.

I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!

Re: carby conversion
Most of the time when folks say that duals won't stay in tune, it means they have never had them in tune to begin with and are just experiencing the inconsistency in performance/tractabililty that happens when they are not properly set up. Once properly jetted, balanced and sync'd, with the proper (regulated) fuel pressure and a decent throttle and inter-carb linkage, they will stay in tune unless you move something. Next to improper tuning, dirt from old gas tanks is the next biggest culprit, and this, too, is easily remedied. Stay with those duals and get some help jetting/tuning them

Des, Get the car up to Granville in Sydney and have Ross Smith ( Fiatorque ) tune it for you .... it will run like a rocket !
Right next to Granville Station, you can catch the train home ! !
