Finally took the Spider out today:

Post by thechadzone »

The Spider has been sitting for a while because of the cold weather, the lack of daylight this time of year, and my lack of time to mess with it. On a whim, I took it out for a cruise around town after work this afternoon. I treated myself to a good quality cigar, and sat atop a popular viewpoint of Eugene, Oregon for a view of the sunset.

The Spider is a bit rough these days, but its mechanically very healthy. Even though it was covered in leaves and filth before I took it out I still got plenty of thumbs up and such as I drove it through the park. As cool as my 124 Sport Coupe is, it just doesn't get the public appreciation that my Spider does.

My Alma Mater, the University of Oregon just secured a big bowl game today, and it was cool to watch the downtown area erupt from atop Spencer's Butte. Awesome. I'm not much of a sports fan, (at all) but "Go Ducks"!
