Front end Frustration
Front end Frustration
I bought all new bushings from IAP for my 83 spider. The upper bushings did not fit, but i found them local. Got it all back together, maybe 500mi later and the lower bushings are pushing the rubber out. Now I have to Fix It Again Tomorrow. I had a shop press the bushings out/in maybe they messed up the arms? Any ideas what went wrong? I would like to "finish" the suspension work.

Re: Front end Frustration
Most mistakes are made by tightening the control arms without have the weight of the car on the ground first. If you tighten the bolts with the arms extended it puts added stress on the bushings.
