i just bought a engine stand for the fiat 2.0 liter but i cant find any screws that are long enough or the corect thred any help on that

I'm guessing you're referring to bolts needed to attach the block to the engine stand brackets. I have used the 4 bolts that hold the tranny bell housing to the engine block, if I am mounting to the end of the block (but in this picture, it appears that I had grabbed some longer bolts):

I prefer mounting to the side of the block, using the engine mount bracket studs, as in this picture:

This gives you wide-open access to both ends of the engine.

mounting from the side also allows you to put the flywheel and rear main seal in while on the stand.
